Hi, I am Oceana Simpson aka Oshi, Australian born and raised. Blessed to have traveled the world experiencing beautiful cultures, architecture and design, history and stunning scenic spots that had/has an everlasting impression... Growing up with talented & artistic parents, I feel that I just fell into the creative world of arts and design. I felt instant happiness creating and dabbling in many forms of art. Choosing to take my creativity to another level and further my education by enrolling into collage for a diploma in Visual Fine Arts and Photography. It was there that I discovered I truly loved photography (before digital). I then moved to the US but was short lived after a vehicle accident that led me back to Australia. During my recovery, I decided to go to university and study Art again, but since the world started to go digital, I wanted to try graphic art and studied Computer Based Art and Design. Again, moved to the mainland US I was close to stepping into the graphic design world, but was led to Hawaii for the beautiful outdoors lifestyle and culture. I had a local friend of mine suggest I start an LLC for photography as she saw talent in me where I could begin to support myself doing what I loved. Since 2009 I have been a licensed professional photographer. Bringing my passions of scenic, flora and fauna photography to portrait photography made me very happy. Getting to travel the islands photographing on-location admiring the beauty of the islands and capturing beautiful faces made this little hobby photographer (since high school) into a dream. I have always been a huge fan of maternity sessions, as bringing life into this world is like no other. The beauty of a woman creating life, allowed me to specialize in maternity sessions, then eventually into lifestyle, self-love, beauty and so much more... Living this incredible dream, I eventually found love and married him, became an instant stepmother of 3. We eventually were blessed (after a long time of trying) and had a boy of our own during the pandemic. 20+ years in Hawaii and I am still beyond belief on where my life has taken me!
